Exeter Castle have allowed DecAid to use their incredible venue free of charge for their Carol Service. This will also be the backdrop for Xander Rawlins performance of his new single "1000 miles apart". Without the support of Exeter Castle we wouldn't be able to run this event.

Shortbread House of Edinburgh http://www.shortbreadhouse.com/

Shortbread House of Edinburgh have supported DecAid throughout the appeal. They are a major sponsor of the DecAid Massed Pipes and Drums event. Shortbread House have also supported DecAid in numerous other ways including a donation of a large amount of their special festive shortbread to the DecAid Carol Service.

Sainsbury's http://www.sainsburys.co.uk

Sainsbury's in Exeter kindly donated mince pies for the DecAid Carol Service.

The University of Plymouth http://www.plymouth.ac.uk

With almost half of the DecAid team being current Plymouth students the university was kind enough to aid the team in getting the project off the ground through the provision of travel subsidies. They have also helped us to cover other initial costs such as producing a short promotional film on DecAid.

We will always be enormously grateful to the University of Exeter Innovation Centre who were the first to believe in DecAid and provide financial support. In doing so they covered the costs of our initial marketing and team training.

NRG Direct Mail have been kind enough to produce a large amount of material for us free of charge in our early days.

An evening of carol singing, mince pies and mulled wine to recognise the 10th Christmas British Troops have spent in Afghanistan. The evening will feature a special performance by Xander Rawlins

The Choir

This Christmas will be the tenth that British Troops have spent in Afghanistan. To recognise this, the DecAid team are organising a special Christmas service to remember the members of the Armed Forces who are away from home at this time.

Army Captain, Xander Rawlins, will play his charity Christmas single called "1000 miles apart" This is a fantastic song that he wrote whilst on tour in Afghanistan. The single is released on 13th December and will raise money for two service charities.

We would like to invite everybody to attend the evening. There will be a suggested donation of £2 on the door which will be donated in full to SSAFA Forces Help, BLESMA and Talking2Minds.

The evening will also involve carol singing, mince pies and mulled wine.
